Essential Responsibilities & Duties

• Utilize computer aided design and drafting software (primarily Microstation and Geopak) to assist in the preparation of civil engineering design plans
• Ability to accurately transfer information in numerical, written and sketched, or electronic format from sources such as survey data, aerial photographs and computer files to final plans
• Ability to visualize and illustrate concept or design in 2 or 3 dimensions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule driven, team-oriented environment
• Experience with municipal design standards and TxDOT design standards a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate technical issues with other team members

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• 2+ years of experience working in an engineering and/or surveying environment
• 1-2 years of experience working with Microstation or CADD program
• Experience in roadway, utility and drainage drafting a plus
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
